I have seen quite a lot on the *route* to becoming a CT surgeon, but would like to know more about the competition. I realize general surgery is not extremely competitive, but what about getting the CT fellowship? Do the fellowships only take the cream off of the top, or has this subspecialty become so unattractive that most any GS resident can land one?

As with anything, the top locations are always competitive, but I dont think CT surgery is ultra-competitive, especially with intervential cardiologists taking away procedures.
