soy estudiante de medicina aqui en chicago. espero viajar a la argentina este verano para hacer intercambio clinical. prefiero ir a buenos aires porque siempre he querido visitar.

si me pueden decir cuales son las universidades mejores para hacer intercambio, me ayudaria muchisimo. es dificil buscar las universidades de medicina en el Internet.

Para medicina, tenes "La Universidad de Buenos Aires" que es donde yo estudie medicina, es muy buena!! pero tiene sus desventajas, como mucha desorganizacion y demasiados estudiantes, ya que esta universidad es gratis. Despues tenes, "La Universidad de El Salvador" y La Universidad de Maimonides" esta ultima no la conozco mucho, solo se que es buena academicamente. La Universidad de Favaloro es buena, pero esta en La Plata

Yo estoy tratando de decidir entre Favaloro y el Austral. Soy de Estados Unidos pero mis padres son Argentinos. Cualquier ayudita seria una maravilla!!

Lo mas practico para extranjeros es arreglar con alguna privada. Pero la UBA tiene un departamento de relaciones internacionales o algo asi, por ahi se puede arreglar algo seguro.

I am a psychiatrist myself, and have a daughter born and college educated in USA who is graduating from Universidad Maimonides at the end of 2008. There is also another american student in the 4th (of 6years at Maimonides). Overall they are having good experiences although at times we all wish it was more organized. My daughter just passed the step 1 (score 81, did not prepare as much) and step 2 ck (95/230). She recently started a clerkship in cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and finds herself very well prepared for it. This is an exchange and she will get credit for it in U Maimonides (they is no direct connection but they have an exchange agreement).
When she started, Favaloro was not going through a good time. I believe it is much better now.
When we started looking for her, we were very impressed w/Cemic, they were very organized and have a great reputation. They have just become independent from the Univ. de Buenos Aires and were not able to take foreign students yet. I am sure they can now. Location is not great but it is worth looking into it.

Me olvide de decir que nuestra hija tambien tiene padres argentinos. su amiga de 4to anio no, es americana pura y aprendio castellano.
La Austral es bastante religiosa, Opus Dei

hay algun argentino que estudie medicina en EEUU? yo estoy ahora en el college y quiero ir a med school pero no se como hacer por la plata... alguna idea?
