I'll be doing the MEDICC elective for first year med students in Cuba this summer....just prying to see if anybody has a heads up on this. All commentary welcome!

I went on the MEDICC trip 3 years ago and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. You should definitely go. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

hey carloc17....I've am definitely taking the summer elective. What are the days like? Evenly distributed between site visits and lectures? What kind of free time is there? Are the Cuban women really as beautiful as they say? ;)

The women are hotter than you can imagine and they are very forward. You will have plenty of free time to enjoy yourself. Make sure you bring lots of cash because they are no atms you can use and there are a lot of things you are going to want of spend money on (rum, cigars, artwork).
