I was just wondering what the medical area is like in Canada right now? I am considering going into Emergency, or Surgical specialty and I was just wondering a few questions:

1) What is one the most needed medical position in Canada needed right now?
2) What is an avg salary for an ER doc in Canada? and for Surgury?

The most needed position in Canada is the Family doctor by far, especially in rural areas. However, not many people are willing to practice out in the middle of nowhere. General Surgery and ER are definitely a lot more competitive than FP.
