hi im new to the forum. has anyone done an eye path elective as a med student? was it helpful both clinically and in getting into a residency? thanks.

I did a month of ocular path and found it to be a good adjunct to what I had learned in clinic. I'm sure, however that I'll lose most of it in the interval before I actually start residency. As far as getting into a residency, it's a good addition to - but not a substitute for - a clinically based elective. PM me if you have more questions.
