I just visited a gastroenterologist who also does primary care and a question came to mind. Do MDs studying an IM subspecialty, moonlight using their IM ? Are they paid more than those residents who moonlight before completing their residencies (for example, FP or Peds sometimes moonlight while in their residency)?
