Has anyone seen the new iMacs? Check them out at www.apple.com. They look awesome! Great specs, the best design I've ever seen, but they are too pricey.
I'm a bigtime Windows user, but the new iMacs are tempting!
That is really cool...everything is contained in the monitor.....they are really innovative...very streamlined...

Apple knows product design. They win awards for everything they do. I wish they were a little more competitive with PC prices, though. :(

Mac vs. PC price comparison (http://gflpraxis.no-ip.com/mvp-price.html)
Macs aren't as expensive as you might think. If you build a desktop from scratch, then yeah, a PC is cheaper.

I would actually consider getting one of the new iMacs if Microsoft made ActiveSync for Macs and all the med programs I use were also compatible with Mac (I'm talking med programs on my Pocket PC that require periodic updates).

You could try Virtual PC. That will let you install Windows on a Mac, and run Windows-only programs. Downside - it's pretty slow.

A few negative points:
- Why did they not release these "new" machines with built-in Wi-Fi ?
- Their design (at least to me) is not nearly as revolutionary and attractive as the now old iMacs.
Plus, when is Apple going to release Mac OS for x386s ???

Apple wanted to keep the cost of the basic package low. Some people just plug an ethernet cable into their computers, and so don't need Wi-Fi built-in.
However, I will agree that the iMac should have had a built-to-order graphics card, which is the one weak link in the computer.

whoa...I clicked on the www.apple.com link and my library computer (infested with spyware) redirected me to a Compaq website.
