So, for the rest of us who thought we got totally owned by that physical section, how'd the exam turn out for you guys? Me, well, i'm 'happy' w/ my 10, but it disturbs me that i had 12's and 13's on the 6 and7r. Thas what makes the whole decision of retaking a 30 so hard, maybe i'll get an easier physical form next tiem, but then again, maybe i won't.

I had form AS, and felt at the time that both PS and BS were rough. On the other hand, I found VR to be quite easy at the time. I made a 31Q (11 VR, 10 PS, 10 BS), so I guess perceived difficulty doesn't mean everything - especially since we don't know the grading scales they use for each section.

It's hard to know how you did when you walk out of the testing center, and it's easy to only remember the problems that gave you trouble. Someone in this forum once said that you should trust your practice test scores, and your performance on those is a good approximation of how you do on the real thing (with a standard deviation of a couple of points each way). I averaged a 30 on the 8 practice tests I took (6 Kaplan's, plus 2 AAMC's), and my 31 on the real thing confirms the correlation between practice tests and the real thing.

Since I am an MCAT veteran now after taking it four times, I can say that this August 2004 administration seemed to be the most difficult. Perhaps I expected it to be easier since I worked so hard and was making ~30 on practice exams, but this last time seemed to be more difficult than August 2003 even.

Does anyone else have thoughts to add?
