I am looking for a good operative procedure text for my upcoming ortho rotation. Any advice?

1. Hoppenfeld's exposures in orthopedics
2. Zuckerman and Koval recently put out a book on operative techniques in ortho

either of those two would suffice

Campbell's operative orthopaedics is a great resource and is actually concise for specific operations. There are other good books within each specialty area of orthopaedics.

What's most important as a student (and most commonly quizzed) is the basic anatomy. Hoppenfeld's book on surgical exposures is really good.
