Didn't apply to Drexel, but I can relate to what you are talking about.. So far have been invited to interview to nearly every program I applied to in New England, including Yale, Brown, BU, and Dartmouth, but haven't heard a word from UConn. Very odd..

i believe that they started interviewing a few weeks ago. you don't really want to go there, so does it really matter?

I like Philadelphia and have not heard from UPenn. Also, I have changed my opinion about Yale after visiting them. :)

i asked because both temple and jeff are considered much stronger programs in the city. drexel is supposed to be on the up and up but it is starting at a pretty low point. they recently closed MCP, one of their major affiliates, and residents now get the pleasure of rotating through Abington Memorial hospital. for me that is enough to elimate the program outright. maybe you know something about the program that i don't. i am sure that they'll be happy to interview you if you ask. supposedly the pre interview dinner is nice. :) good luck.

Pili,
I think I remember an extraordinary enthusiasm for Yale.!? Actually after interviewing at several spots, I too have drastically changed my perspective on the type of environment in which I would want to work for the next 3-6 years. However, I am interested in hearing your perspectives on the interview trail and what issues/circumstances have changed your mind.

I had the impresion that Yale had a weird criteria for selecting interviewees. Some of the co applicants seemed to know very little medicine. I just felt it was not the place for me. And I was horrified of New Haven.
One place that I was going to rank low and now I am going to rank very high is U. of Florida. I think they have a very strong program, very little call, financially sound hspital, and the residents were both smart ans super nice, as were the PDs. So yes, it is true that our impressions change on the trail. My ranking list has changed for sure.
