i'm looking for a month long summer research/clinical experience in africa

One month is definately not long enough to get involved in research. However, you might be able to get a decent clinical experience. I am trying to spend a semester in Cape Verde Islands. As far as I Know, there is no formal program there. But, I have contacted different hospitals asking them for the opportunity to shaddow a physician and possibly get my "hands dirty." Especially, if you are not looking for compensation and one day (once you are a physician) you would like to go back to help, you should be able to get something.
