Hello all, how useful do you guys think doing a fourth year elective in neuro-radiology would be for someone going into ophthalmology? The course consists of in interpretation of CT's, MRI's, and special procedures (angiography, endovascular therapy, myelography, discography, and percutaneous bx's).

I'm trying to decided what my last fourth year elective will be. I had wanted to do a pathology elective and focus on ocular path, but it turns out that my institution doesn't see much ocular path. Doh!

What other non-ophtho 4th yr electives are useful for an ophtho residency?

You'll need to be good at reading CTs and MRI scans of the orbits, face, and head. You'll notice many cases presented on www.eyerounds.org have imaging studies.
