Good job!

Andy, it seems that Iowa ( a highly ranked proram which, I am certain, has its pick of the applicants ) tends to accept people from East Coast/Mid-West Schools. With few exceptions, of course. Some other programs tend to do the same (UCSF, etc.). Any thoughts on that? Just curious...

JR,

We try to get West Coast candidates; however, it's hard to lure single people to the Mid-West. Very hard. :(

Californians aren't used to snow! ;)

Congrats guys... Just wondering why my more schools don't post the new matchees like Iowa does... I'd like to know who I'll be spending my residency with before I show up...

JR,

I am not sure what you mean about UCSF. Next year there will be two from UCSF, one from Harvard, one from Baylor, and one from Arizona. I think that is a pretty wide sampling of the country. I haven't seen the match results from this year - Was it predominantly from the Northeast/Midwest?

My comment is based on my particular interview trail experience of last year. I've found that many very strong applicants from the West Cost who got interviews at most top 10 programs did not even get an interview at UCSF (I am not just talking about myself here). I personally did not see UCSF match list from this year or last year. I was just curious what other people think/know...
