I'm starting to consider building up my ophtho library... I have a few texts as of now, the typical ones we used during electives, like the lange book, secrets, the academy one, but what else should we look at getting... except the entire set of duane's... Any suggestions?

Andrew,
What would you recommend an eager soon-to-be-intern looking to get ahead over the summer?

First, I think you should follow the cases on EyeRounds.org and explore the atlas. This will get you thinking about ophthalmolgy and the cases we see.

Second, I think this book is good to learn the exam: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1560550341/eyeroundsorg-20/002-0240177-6525654?creative=327641&camp=14573&link_code=as1

Third, I think Kanski's or Yanoff's books are good, broad general texts if you're thirsty for more:

Good luck!

I think kanski is a must. Some people read Wills eye manual,a little boring though,'coz it doesn't contain any illustrations.Jackobiec is the most comprehensive and much better than Yanoff. That's my opinion anyway.
