Anyone out there know if Step 3 scores or USMLE scores for that matter have any role in obtaining ophtho fellowships? I would suspect that OKAP scores, LORs, research, and residency performance would be most significant.

I've heard from different sources that they are almost never even considered for fellowship applications... Then again, Indiana, at a recent interview, pulled out my UNDERGRADUATE 1st year grades and made me explain why I got a D in general chemistry... So, who knows... I'd like to think that there are many more important things to consider.
