Can someone please tell me what (if anything) the word "byecito" means?I would say it’s a variation of “bye”, as in good bye :confused:

Actually, it is a neologism used in South America wich means good bye, but is the diminutive word of bye (wich doesn't exist). Since latin people use some words in English (like O.K., bye, etc), they then adapt them to the superlative and diminutive forms in Spanish, creating a new word like bye-cito.

Not unlike the Chilean "chai'to", the diminutive of "chao", borrowed from the Italian "ciao".
