Are the AOA GI fellowships considered up to par with the ACGME ones in terms of scope of knowledge and procedural skills? Do Docs out of a DO GI prgram have the same training in procedures as those in other programs? I ask b/c there seems to be some kind of law against publishing information regarding fellowships...especially the AOA ones. For a while, I doubted there existance.

Are there any DO GI programs that are considered better than others? I know that there are very few anyway.

We have 2 attendings that did their fellowships at Botsford and they have very good reps. You might check there website for info.
