Does anyone have any suggested courses (like Kaplan) or tips in preparing for the DAT??

kaplan prepares u well definitely for science area.. they cover just about the level u need to do well in the science section, so study their book and do their practice tests.. as for PAT section, kaplan ones are pretty easy so u might not get enuf preparation.. u can try the barron's DAT book for PAT section.. kaplan tends to over-prepare u for math section so if u don't do so well on practice tests, don't worrie TOO much.. reading comp of kaplan's should also be fine..
basically, kaplan prepares u well for DAT, except for the PAT section.. but make sure u do all of their practice tests!

take as many practice test as possible. Go over the questions you got wrong and re-study that material. i ran out of practice test and actually took the OAT practice test. they're similar except that the OAT has physics and does not have the PAT section.
