Hey Shawn,

There is a new book by Preston called Demon in the Freezer. I think it is about Anthrax.

Other good micro books are:

1. Secret Agents: The Menace of Emerging Infections by Madeline Drexler
2. The Coming Plaque by Laurie Garrett

I haven't had the chance to read them yet, but I hear they are very good.

Thanks, Katy... I'll check those out since I'm incredibly bored and needs a book to keep my brain going.

And don't you mean "The Coming PlaGue" rather than "PlaQue?" ;)

If you are bored you should study for the medchem qualifying exam. You could also buy your book for the calculations class early and work through it.

For those of you who want to, you can also check out UW's own student forum at www.UWpharmacy.com We just added a class of 2009 area. There will be all kinds of information posted for your class, usually starting a week or two prior to the Pack Forest retreat in the fall. For now, you can meet current students and ask questions to current UW students.
