i've heard that many institutions don't look favorably upon these research pathways. but if anyone is enrolled in one of the peds pathways or knows any additional information about them, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try to look up posts by GeneGoddess or consider dropping her a PM. She's an MD/PhD grad who is going into Peds this year (at Duke, I believe).

Just happened to see the post (I usually don't hang out here much). Yeah, I'm MD/PhD and now in Pedi (Duke). There are two of us here this year. Another MD/PhD in my class is at Hopkins in Pedi. The ONLY negative I got was the time I was basically asked if I was normal (ie: not a lab rat who can't talk to people). Some MD/PhDs are antisocial, and they wanted to make sure I'm not (duh...).
