Skip Intro

It's time.
It's time for the character known as "Skip Intro" (who is, trust me, a grossly inaccurate depiction of and far cry from the real person behind the name) to, in the words of Mike Tyson, "fade into Bolivian."
I will, over the next few days, slowly say goodbye to the SDN Forums, a place that has treated me extremely well full of some great people - as well as introduced me to clear psychopaths ( ) - over the past three+ years. I've learned a lot, and I've hopefully given a lot back in return.
It's time to move on. I've accomplished my goals. I've hopefully helped others along the way. Now, I'm done with medical school, I'm heading to residency, and I've gotten my life back... errr... well, maybe I shouldn't speak so soon.
Feel free to share your farewells, however you feel you need to say them, as I'll be checking in to finish up some business (e.g., clearing out my PMs, completing some thoughts on open discussions, etc.) before signing off for good.
Thanks to everyone, especially Kimberli Cox, Steph Weiss, leorl, Dr. Mom, and a few of the other mods for tolerating some of my shenanigans.
Best of luck to everyone in pursuit of their medical education goals. If you have listened to anything I've said over the years, remember just these three things:
Don't trust, believe, or in any way take at face value anything you read on an Internet forum - independently verify everything.
The impression you leave on others is about 95% up to you; if you act like an a-hole, don't be surprised when people treat you like one. However, some people simply are never going to like you no matter what you do. Don't worry about those people because they aren't worth it anyway.
Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't accomplish whatever (reasonable) goal you set your mind to. It may take you longer, you might have to walk a circuitous path, and you might trip over stumbling blocks along the way, but you can do it. In the end, some of the naysayers might hate you for proving them wrong. Just laugh at them, because those that do deserve nothing more.
And, now I bid you adieu...
