However, in this study, when psychiatry residents seek treatment, they select psychotherapy. Actually, psychiatry has been promoting simply treatment for depression or anxiety, however that treatment is given (psychotherapy for certain types of depression, ECT, pharmacology). Guidelines would suggest psychotherapy is better for mild depression. If I was severely depressed, give me ECT. |
