hey everyone,

I just received my Kaplan course material (from an ebay auction). Previously I had asked in the forum which materials would prepare the best for the DAT, if I didn't use the Kaplan course material. Now that I have it, is there a need to combine it with topscore, bluebook, Schaum's Bio outline, or anything else?

I'm not sure yet...I haven't taken a diagnostic test yet and I don't own one. My gut feeling tells me that I will do worst on GenChem.

I will suggest that you get both Topscore and DAT Achiever since the explanations and diagnostic tools that come along with these two softwares can greatly help determine what and where you're heading to.

You should also consistently refer to syllabus outlined by the ADA and not to study any more than you necessarily need to.

You can walk into any kaplan center and ask to take a diagnostic test for free. Thye will administer the test and score it for you. There is also a free DAT test on their website.

Isn't it illegal to buy the course material without paying for the course? Don't get me wrong, if I was offered the materials I would buy them in a heart beat, but don't they make people sign something stating that they won't sell or give out the materials given to them in the course?
