hey,
i was wondering if a point of intersection will count as an event.
for example, two triangles intersecting each other, like X.
will that middle point in the letter X count as an event for the different views?
thanks.

Yes it will.... If you are looking at it from the back of the triangle it will look like this:
l:l
If looking from the side it will look like this:
lll
Hope this makes sense.

What is an event? Could someone explain this? Am I missing something here? If there are any tips for this section, please fill me in...

Don't get hung up on events and that silly Kaplan terminology...just do a thousand problems, and you'll get the hang of it.

An event in "Top-Front-End" context refers to projected edges of object surfaces. The X denoted by djsahand is actually short of 2 horizontal parallel bars (solid lines), that has been limited by editing tool of SDN's message box. When combined together, it should resemble a standing hour glass viewing from the top.
For good practices, you should count on either acethedat and/or DAT Achiever, with the latter having complete 3D solutions to further develop your perceptual ability.
