I'm at USC, and I keep hearing how malignant UCLA is in IM, so much that residents have dropped from the program, or changed speciality. I've also heard that they have a hard time staying at UCLA for fellowship unless they do the STAR (research intensive) program? Are any of these allocations true? Has anyone at least heard the same rumors? Any commentry would be appreciated.
