I was talking to a MD at the pharmacy I work at about the podiatry profession and the MD told me about how he heard of DPM's that are first assistants in surgeries beyond the foot/ankle.He said how DPM's are more surgically trained than other providers out there like PA's and RNFA's, but mid levels are usually hired b/c they are cheaper. Do you guys or have you guys heard of this? This sounds like a viable option if you wanted a change in practice over the years.
