Hello,

I am a MS-2 interested in Ophtho. I am currently doing research at Memorial Sloan Kettering on Primary Ocular Lymphomas in the Dept. of Neurology. I am working hard on my project, but I do not think I'll publish a paper. I do realize that publishing is important, I have published as 2nd author on 6 articules ( 4 dealing with Ras genes, and 2 dealing with fMRI). I have shadowed a number of ophthalmologists here, trying to get a taste of the field. Is not publishing going to hurt my application?

Thanks!

PS - Any words of guidance is greatly appreciated.

You'll be fine. You have papers and that's enough. It's more important that you're able to discuss your work on ocular lymphomas during the interviews if asked.

Good luck!
