Took the DAT today. I have mixed feelings about the results but overall am pleased.
QR 18
PAT 18
RC 20
BIO 20
GC 23
OC 17
overall 20/20/18
i would say most scores went up from Kaplan. except QR and PAT where I was averaging 20 in kaplan.
my thoughts:
QR-kaplan has all the info you need. just make sure to study it. i didnt.
PAT-kaplan is lacking.
RC-i didnt study for this, i already know how to read.
BIO-kaplan has 90% covered, i dont know where the rest comes from.
GC-this section seemed pretty simple. its been 7 years since i took GC-kaplan has all you need to know here.
OC-i never learned it the first time around so it was hard for me.
input? do you guys think these scores are good enough with 3.6 gpa in science and non science? i've applied to about 8 schools. AHHH-my beer is empty so its time to go. i'd be happy to answer any q's.

Those are some solid scores I don't think you should have any problems getting interviews.

Most of your scores are above average and so is your GPA. Good job.

I personally thought bio was all over the board. some questions were very basic and simple while others required a lot of specific knowledge. as far as taxanomy-there were maybe two or three. not too difficult e.g. xxxxx is a characteristic of which phylum. just know your basic echinoderm, cnidaria, annelida, flat/round worm, molluska, etc...
like i said-if you know kaplan well a 20 is not too hard. i do believe you need some other materials or a better background than what i have to score above this. buena suerte
