Hey all,
I am a UCLA MS who will be working at the NIH for a year. Was wondering if anyone can recommend anyone out there, especially if you have worked with anyone there. If now, any input helps.
thanks

I think you should also direct your question towards the ophtho faculty at UCLA. What a tremendous resource to have the Jules Stein faculty at your fingertips! I am sure that Drs. Mondino, Arnold, Caprioli, etc know a few people at the NEI (national eye institute) and can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Hey,
im currenlty at the NEI and there is alot of opportunity. it really depends on what your interests are. not all of the labs wil be open to you as a 1 year researcher. there are a number of programs mainly HHMI/NIH and clinical research scholars. it seems that at least in the HHMI and clinical scholars progam that i student per lab is allowed. it really depends on you situation and the program your in. it may be to your advantage to work with an MD or MD/phd as a medstudent going into the match. i would first advise going to the nei site and get some ideas of what you might like. if you have specific questions let me know..ive just gone throught the lab choosing thing!
if you got anymore questions let me know
