I'm starting this thread to find a common ground for all those accepted into tufts university class of 2008 .............
Hope all of you out there use this as a means to get in touch with each other and discuss issues which we will be faced with in the coming months from housing ,to books and equipment, to tuition deadlines and other things.

I was wondering if tufts has already finished admitting students for next year....Their deadline for application is September so that would be a little odd...I am hoping I still do have a slim chance!!
If You have been accepted already would you mind sharing your stats with the rest of us? Also please let s know when was your interview?

Even though their deadline is in Sep, they send out interview invitations as soon as they process the application. Within 2-3 weeks of interview, they put out the result..
I applied in June, interviewed in the last week of July and got an acceptance couple of days back. I would recommend applying as early as you can.

Thank you for your wishes.
I got interview calls from other schools but tufts was my first interview and it is my first choice.They do not have a clinical exam .
I liked the school very much and the interview was relatively simple.The staff go out of their way to answer your questions and they are very professional.Even the professor I interviewed with was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable.
On the day of the interview they give you a presentation of the curriculum,tour of the school and then we have lunch with the students of the DI batch.After lunch we are called to interview one on one with a professor.They get you to be so comfortable that when it actually is time to interview you just appear relaxed and confident.
My only advice is prepare well from the interview feedback forum,and schools website,and then just sit back and be yourself.Do not portray something you are not.
I might not be accurate on the numbers exactly but I think they said they are taking 12 this year.Please be informed that these figures are never definite and may actually increase or decrease.

I believe it is sometime in september.

I am taking my part-2 on sep 9 and10. By the time my scores reach them it would be late so will my application still be considered even though part -2 scores reach after the deadline?

I'm not exactly sure but your best bet would be to call and speak with Melissa Bradbury.To be on the safe side apply to schools that don't need part2.

i just got an invitation for the interview at tufts on sep.19/sep 22....(they gave a choice).as i have already joined BU i wont be going for it.
good luck to all.btw i got this invitation via email dated 23rd aug.they also mail the interview letter.

I heard that a second round of interviews was conducted abt a week back but i think that will be it.This is what i heard from someone who interviewed there.I cannot confirm it for sure .
