Which describes innate imunity?
1 an allergic reaction to insect venom.
2 classical pathway of complement
3 destruction of virus infected cells by T killer cells
4 production of IgG in response to insect venom

Thanks

The answer is 5. It cannot be 3 or 4 as cell mediated and humoral immunity are not innate. They are acquired. Allergic reactions are not part of immune reactions. This basically means either 1 0r 5. It is 5 because the alternate pathway is not stimulated by antigen - antibody complexes but by non-specific stimuli. The classical pathway is part of acquired immunity. Alternate is inate.

Hope this helps :)

I figured out this question with my physio book in hand ;)
