Hi Everyone.

What are your thoughts about students in DMD/PhD programs having an edge to get into very competitive dental specialties like oral surgery, endodontics, or orthodontics?

I realize that this is a MD/PhD thread but are there any coorelations in the medical field? Do MD/PhD candidates normally have a high percentage of acceptance into tough to get into medical residecies?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
