I did a search, but to no avail. Anybody else have this one?

I thought it was tough throughout. I didn't understand a few of the passages at all, and there were hardly any calculations. A lot of g-chem.

VR was a b1tch. The Russian Napoleon screwed me, and that other long one about dinosaurs where you had to refer back to the passage for every question because of all the different dino/mammal scientific names.

BS had only one orgo passage, thankfully, but the rest was pretty indecipherable, too. I've only taken a year of Bio and I swear most of it was stuff I never heard of. Lots of molecular, long enzyme names and processes...

Overall, it was a rough day:(

Hey,

I had BK too. Definitely not easy. I thought the VR section was brutal and had to guess on the last 8 questions. Hoping the bell will save me.

I thought PS was challenging. There were a lot of force questions but the G chem was ok. It was going smoothly for the first few passages but then got really difficult. This is one section I'm hoping to get a 9...if the curves work out, then maybe a 10.

VR went ok with me...but to be honest, I came a long way from last year on this one. I finished at the 5 minute mark which was an absolute dream.

The essays were ok...as usual, I think this section is relaxing and I'm glad there were no history involved.

BS went great. I'm hoping to pull off a 12 in this section. I finished with about 25 minutes to spare so I took the time to go over some questions I had difficulty with.

So my only beef is with PS but I hope the curve will work to my advantage.

I had form BH, which I'm assuming is very similar. My thoughts are similar to yours, except for BS, which I thought got very difficult towards the end. The first three quarters was very easy and I was feeling quite confident but the last four or so passages threw me for a loop. Very convoluted and hard to understand, in my opinion. I'm hoping for a nice curve (and that I did better than I think).

I had form AM but sounds like it's the same test.

PS: Lots of GenChem. Can't remmeber much other than the physics being hard and not having time to go back and check my calculations.

VR: never thought I would not finish w/ how much I prepared. I thought it totally was unfair and disgustingly evil.

WS: one word: EASY! A total self-esteem booster going into BS. Wish it were for points.

BS: I'm annoyed at the distribution of topics. 5% of the test had organic which totally annoyed me. Lots of molecular, micro and genetics. Barely any phys. I thought the passages on experiments were extremely difficult. It seemed like I was doing some more Verbal passages. Overall: nothing like old AAMC tests.

I'm glad most of you guys felt this way as well. Makes me feel like I'm not the only one who studied my butt off only to get a totally difficult form and bomb it. We'll see....I'm definately not expecting anything stellar for VR.
:(

Gluck you guys. Let's all pray there is some phenomenal curve.

I had form BK also.

Physics - sucked but I can't say it was the test, I've had problems throughout. I spent way too much time in the beginning and got stuck on some hard passages. I'm hoping for a 9.

Verbal - I loved it except for the mammal/dino passage which really tripped me up - too bad it was 10 questions!

Bio - I loved it. I agree that it's not really fair to put so little OChem and so damn much experiment/molecular bio type but I liked it because that's the sort of thing I enjoy, although I admit I tend to make a lot of mistakes on these types of passages and I was pretty tired at the end.

Who knows? I'm just hoping Physical science ends up working out.

Hmmm...there's been a lot of speculation about experimental verbal sections - do you think the mammal/dino one could have been experimental? I haven't heard others talking about that one.

Just hoping :) ...

I had form BN but do remember having a VR passage similar about T-Rex and whether or not it was a predator or a scavenger.

Physical: Not as bad as expected or not as hard as Kaplan PS about equal on physics and gen chem with a slight edge to gen chem.

Verbal: Barely got fininshed but wasn't to horrible.

Biology: Sucked very little O-chem which was ok with me. Alot of mol/gent experiments. The worst was the passage over immunocytochemistry. Just kind of read over it best I could but was very confusing.

Overall for the second time of taking not a bad experience feel pretty good about it this time.

.

Actually I had two passages about predators and scavengers! I think other BKers did too...?

Haha, it's already all kind of a blur, but I do remember we BK'ers had more than one verbal about dinos. One was the t-rex one, which was straight-forward enough, and another one was about prehistoric predators that weren't dinos but mammals who ate dinos.

You know, some people say the real test seems hard because of the pressure, tiredness, etc., but I swear I felt relaxed, got a good 8 hours sleep, was confident. After PS I thought, oh well that was a hard one. After VR, I thought the curve would have to be generous, and expected BS to be pretty straight-forward, because past takers don't really seem to complain about BS. After BS, I realized that whole damn test was hard--not impossibly so, but akin to EK 1g, I'd say. Just consistently difficult throughout.

I guess I just had a bad day then. Sounds like no one else had as much of a problem with VR. That said VR is what I always find most difficult. I'm basically praying for a 9, but given that I guessed on 8 questions at the end, even a 9 might be out of reach. Sigh.

I hate that the more time that passes...the more I question how I did on the test, especially on PS. The immunohistochemistry one was tough and I spent a lot of time on that because I had to keep referring back to the passage.

I guess I better get started on applications...
