Im just doing some reasearch into the carribbean schools. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a summary of the stats needed for acceptance? Also, if anyone can provide personal info about the schools? Is it a good idea to do med in carribbean?

IMO the best place to get your questions answered would be www.valuemd.com. They tend to get a larger volume of carribean students. I am a carribean ( Ross ) student. unfortunately I am not aware of entrance stats. In general carribean med. should be embarked upon after having exhauted your options in the US or Canada. If you limit yourself to the Big three ( SGU, Ross, AUC ) you should do well. There are others, although they are not as established. I cannot comment on their individual merits. All of the big three require MCATs I believe, and SGU has the most stringent entrance requirements. A cursory overview of their respective websites should yield the basic admission criteria. Good luck.
