I was just wondering if there was anyone that has recieved the HPSP scholarship here on SDN, and if so what has been your experience with it. Or if anyone has in the past or present been an air force Dentist. I am very interested in air force Dentistry and I was just curious how others, who have experienced the Dental field aspect, experiences have been.

It depends on the person like most of the things in the military. Some folks love the military lifestyle to death. Nearly all the HPSP recipients at my school are prior service, which means they have a fairly good idea about what lies ahead. Having said that, you will most likely get a better answer in the military forum on this website or with a military dentist in person. Recruiters are okay, but they have just one side of the story since many have never worked in the medical field and are under pressure to meet numbers. I am not cracking them for that, but it is a fact. I hope this helps. Take care and God bless.
