Attention UsydMP student:

In response to recent interest by a number of international students, we are investigating the feasibility of bringing a class action suit against relevant parties in relation to damages resulting from failure of the Faculty of Medicine and/or members thereof to adhere to principles of procedural fairness in regard to several matters pertaining to international students. We have received some interest from a firm that may be willing to take this on as a pro bono project. If you are interested, please feel free to send any input to the following email address: usydmpclassaction@yahoo.com. (It is advisable not to use your "gmp account" as your email is monitored by the Faculty.)

if you're USydGrad, go away.

if you're not, what is the nature of the complaint?

who cares about what the complaint was? it was most likely fabricated.

if the class action thing is legitimate, why would the original poster post the message on a public forum? and again, the message was vague. don't you smell something fishy? :meanie:

some people feel bitter when they see that others are going to med schools and that they themselves either couldn't get a place or couldn't afford to pay the tuition fees. hence, they trash all the med schools overseas in order to boost their confidence and alleviate some of their bitterness.

how sad....

What a classic post. What are these failures of the Faculty of Medicine that resulted in damages to international students? What are the damages? I'm not exactly sure how the Faculty is responsible for a student's lack of desire, effort, fortitude or ability to succeed in Medicine. Maybe they should bring their own class action suit against those who take a place in the medical school and subsequently fail to study adequately and do not succeed in maintaining the standards the school desires from its graduates. And how are international students treated more unfairly? As far as I can see students are treated exactly the same and are never labelled as international or local by the Faculty of Medicine.

I'm curious about the whole idea of a class action. Aside from anything else where would it be conducted. If it was to be conducted in Australia do you have any idea how long this would take- the Oki Tedi mine took over 15 years to settle! You'll be old and grey before anything is settled. Assuming of course there is actually any class action taking place. Good Lord we certainly don't want to go down the US legal system path- that's a wonder of the world. :o
