I'm looking for some opinions about the Midwestern pod school in arizona. How competitive would a 22M be in getting into the school. Are there any board pass rates that anyone knows about???

AZ just started up last year with Midwestern. They don't have any board pass rates yet because no one has taken the boards! The class of 2008 will take part one next July. They are not yet accredited because they have not yet graduated a class. A few of our (DMU) docs went down to help start the school. I think that it is going to be an excellent program. They are patterning it after the DMU program. Your first year and a half is done with normal med students (same classes and tests). However, they are a new school and are still working some kinks out.

They have a great campus and a really good location for a podiatry school. The clinicals in my opinion will be top notch because of the population and lack of healthcare to the poor. The only reason I am not going there is that they have not yet graduated a class and it makes me a little nervous when it comes to obtaining a residency. I still think that it has a great future.
