Just a general question for you guys here, do you think getting early interviews affects the way you feel about a program?

I mean, there are several programs that have already sent out interviews even before the dean's letter. Isn't this a great showing that they are really interested in you? I think it's easier also to schedule, reschedule, buy plane tickets and make lodging arrangements than wait until november 1st.

I have a couple of friends, strong and not so strong, who already have like 7 interviews each from top tier, middle tier and lower tier programs. I was talking to them and it seems they were a bit jaded that the other programs weren't getting their act together. Do you guys feel like that also? I mean, if you get an interview this early in the game, wouldnt that show to you that the program is serious about recruitnig you?

How do you guys feel about it? interested in feedbacks..if anything its easier to schedule or reschedule everything, dont you think?
