For the past 6 weeks I have been working in and helping to administrate a large tent-based medical clinic in a parking lot here in destroyed southern Mississippi. The town, Waveland, is utterly destroyed and is in desperate need of medical assistance. While the local ER is now operational, over 60% of the residence have no health insurance and won't seek care because of cost.
The clinic is going to be here until Thanksgiving. We are in urgent need of any physicians- IM, EM, Family Med, etc who are comfortable working with a wide range of patients. We see around 50-70 patients a day, with every sort of ailment possible.
