I got scores of 17, 18, and 19 on the three Biology topscore tests today. Do you think I am ready in that section?

I haven't yet taken any practice chem or ochem.

Week before the exam, I just practice all the sciences. The day before the exam, I watched japanese anime and relaxed. The day of the exam, I ate a big meal and had my mommy kiss me for good luck ^_^ Needless to say, I was nervous, but I tried my best to stay calm and did well on the exam. Just remember, you worked hard and tried your best. So, whatever score you get, be happy with it.

Good luck!!

If you haven't taken a complete DAT exam (all the sections from start to finish) then you might want to try taking one now to see where you are at. Taking one section at a time won't be an accurate representation of the real DAT since taking all the sections at once will be more psychologically (and possibly physically) demanding. Your bio scores are looking pretty good so far. No reason why you couldn't get a 20 or higher on the real thing. :)

tinman is right, you should try taking the exam all at once. it's a long test, and most people are exhausted by the time they reach the math section. maybe that's why qr is one of the section people score lowest on. be sure to have a good night's rest and eat a good breakfast. stay calm and breathe during the test.

I took the DAT last Wednesday and the biology section was tought. Many questions, at least 6 questions, were about ecology. If i were you, i would spend a lot of time on studying ecology. Good luck.

are you applying for 2006 or 2007? I am applying for 2006 and I am taking the DAT on Thursday....I hope this is not too late. Any opinions?

while most people submitted their application in june/july, they would consider you late, since a lot of schools will make their decision on their most of their class by dec 1.

but there are some schools that still have open spots, just ur chances are decreased. u should make this decision depending on wat your gpa and dat scores are. it may be better to wait until next year if you're scores aren't too hot.

I also submitted my application in july but I took orgo over the summer and have spent the last two months studying. I graduated in 04 with a business degree and then decided to pursue dentistry. I took all of the science pre-requisites in 1 year. My BCP gpa is 3.73, overall is 3.42. I also have a couple of hundreds of hours of volunteer and paid experience at a dental clinic. I think I will get around an 18 on the DAT. I applied to 12 schools. Hopefully things will work out. Thanks for the advice and anymore is appreciated.
