I followed this link from the Anesthesia pages to the ACGME's list of programs on probation- here are the medicine programs. The first date is when they went on probation, and the second is their next review.

wasnt John Hopkins also on the list a while back?

I don't know about Hopkins. Yeah, UW's on the list. Their review is coming up this month, so I guess we'll all know pretty soon if they are in the clear or if they are shut down. I'm sure they fixed their problems. There is no way they would let their medicine residency go under.

Hopkins was a bit different - they weren't just on probation, they actually lost accreditation (according to a fellow I know who was there when they got shut down). Not sure how they got it back, but they did.

Yes, UW is doing everything they can to ensure they get off of probation after this next visit. I did an away rotation there last month and the work hours were under constant review. They were constantly changing the call schedule and shifting workload around to get every rotation in compliance. The program leadership is not taking it lightly at all, so hopefully their hard work will pay off.
