I am interested in attending Fatima for med school. The sciences courses I have taken are:

Bio 101-102
Chem 111-112
Phys 201-202
+ I already have a BS in Comp Sci which covers all my social sciences.

I have neither taken Organic Chemistry nor the NMAT yet but after searching the big thread about PH Med Schools I could not find info about whether Org Chem was necessary to score good on the NMAT or if Org Chem was required for Fatima. I also searched Fatima's site and I could not find a required courses list for admissions.

Does anyone know, do I need Org Chem to do well on the NMAT or to get into Fatima? BTW, I do intend to come back to the USA specifically Virginia or DC to practice after studying in the PH.

Thanks for any info.

You do not need Org Chem for the NMAT. The NMAT has 50 chem questions, and only two will be on OChem, and you had enough OChem in your freshman chem to deal with those.

The NMAT (second Sunday in April in Manila) is a formality if you intend to go to Fatima.

You may find OChem useful for your Biochem in your 1st yr of med school.

Read my other posts for additional info to your questions.

Saipan was right. You only need a Bachelors degree and NMAT for Fatima. They don't have a cutoff score for NMAT (they will take you as long as you have taken the test).

All med schools in the PI require an undergrad degree and the NMAT. Because these are CHED requirements.

And to date, I have not discovered a med school in the PI (or anywhere else) that didn't want to charge me cash.

All these topics are dealt with in detail in my previous posts. Get reading.
