Any thoughts on these program.
I am Cardiology Bound and I know they all have good placement, but any specifics of why one is better/worse than the others would be appreciated.

I know people who have gone to both UTSW and Baylor and have talked about these programs with program directors on both coasts. From this I have gathered that UTSW has a stronger reputation outside of Texas than Baylor. The residents at both institutions work pretty hard, with perhaps a more malignant, old school type of environment at UTSW.
There have been several threads debating the relative strengths of Baylor and UTSW in the past year, so it might be helpful to take a look at them as well.

UTSW is better than Baylor by reputation; both Baylor and UTSW are malignant (with UTSW>Baylor); Wash U is probably weaker than UTSW (personal opinion, all are good) but better than Baylor; Wash U had way too many private patients for my taste; Baylor is still unravelling the divorce between the Methodist and itself ... numerous faculty still defecting to the Methodist; UTSW didn't fill last year for what it's worth

I concur w/ Dr. Corday. Apart from the name/reputation, I think you also should ask yourself how hard are you willing to work, since these three programs vary in intensity and autonomy (Baylor and UTSW from personal experience, and Wash U from what I've heard from various people).
Good luck.

If you're cardiology bound, no question Baylor-Houston if you dont like Cleveland.
For Medicine: Wash U > UTSW > Baylor
For Cards: Baylor > Wash U > UTSW
I am pretty sure most of those schools inbreed significantly for their cards programs as well as they are not coastal programs, so that is something else to consider
