Wow! If those are your choices, then that's a nice position to be in. Since I'm a cali student, I would prefer to stay in CA. I also rank by program as well, and I also would want to go to a school where I would work after I graduate.
1. USC, ONLY CUZ norcal doesn't show laker games...I'M A DIEHARD LAKER FAN! and I study well while watching them. :thumbup:
2. UCSF, no laker games in norcal :( :thumbdown
3. UCSD, close 2nd,nice surf, nice weather, good indie music scene. :thumbup:
4. Purdue, close 3rd, its cold :thumbdown
Eh...I'm too tired to list pro/con...somebody else do that, Sorry my system probably only helps me...hope somebody else can be more helpful :luck:

On the serious side if you are California resident I would go to UCSF or UCSD just because of the price. UCSF has an advantage because it is accredited while UCSD is not (but I'm sure that won't be a problem for that school in the future). UCSF has a higher cost of living, but around UCSD (La Jolla) is also really high. San Diego has better weather. I'd probably go to UCSF, but only because I've lived in San Diego all my life.
vsfan 02-10-2006, 12:43 PM I would have to say that USC is your best bet because it has the best networking opportunities of any school in CA. You can't go wrong with being part of the Trojan Family.

So true.

1. USC-Pro: Diversity in its program, impressed with what I learned about their program at their interview.
2. UCSF or Purdue-Pro: research, program ranked highly (whatever that means)
3. UCSD-Pro: cheaper tuition, small program (some classes are taken with MDs), but shouldn't have a problem getting accredidation
I am a Californian....so I am somewhat biased. Plus, I don't want to say anything negative.....

this thread is making me look bad for not getting into any yet.
btw i'll go for purdue cuz u get top clinical experience, sunny weather all year long and just the name West Lafayette, Indiana is already well known in networking, hands down. :rolleyes:
</sad>
chusifer 02-20-2006, 02:37 AM everyone says SD weather is so good...as a current student of UCSD, i can say that the monotonous weather can be quite tiresome. am i the only one that enjoys a little variety in the climate? the constant sun was cool for the first year...but now in my 4th year, i want some freaking rain!!!
i dont kno anything about purdue, so i wont comment. but i would put ucsf a solid #1 followed by usc, then ucsd. ucsf is the top school in a great area with pretty cheap tuition. aside from being a great school, usc also has a sports program...something sf and sd are sorrily lacking. i wasnt impressed with ucsd's program when i went to the interview and im damn ready to get out of la jolla, so call me a little biased :confused:
