Do DO students have the option of keeping their USMLE scores confidential if they choose to take it?

You have to notify the NBME (in writing) at least two weeks prior to sitting for the exam, if you do not want the results sent to your school. The question is vague, so I am assuming your school. Otherwise, it is at your discretion.

I am curious...why would you want the your scores witheld from your, I assume, DO school? Do you fear the possibility of retribution by the school? Just curious...
