Help! I'm in a tough position...not sure which ones to choose from. Did anyone fall into this situation? What did you choose?

I like PCO because of it's clinical approach, and ICO because it has a res. I guess ICO will be more "fun" in first year, however I also feel PCO will be a bit more segregated since there's no res. and be more "boring" if i were to live by myself first year.

What would you do?

Why such a disparity between US and Canadian trained optometrists on boards?

It is probably b/c canadian boards focus on things US schools don't stress b/c they are focused on the US boards. I'm just guessing, but I would imagine Canadian trained ODs don't have that high of US board pass rates.

I personally wouldn't choose a school just on if I'll have fun. I mean, I'm sure fun can be had anywhere. I'm going to PCO next year and I have a friend already there. He tells me that the class is very united and that there's lots of good times. Plus, there's an apartment complex right across from the school, where the majority of students live (Colonade). If you believe that you're going to have a better clinical experience at PCO, might as well go where your going to get the best education.

I would have accepted NECO or NOVA in an instant if I were basing it on where I would think I could party the most.
