I just went to NYC to interview with SUNY, the professors, who interviewed me, told me that the class is filled technically, but since not everyone would go to SUNY, you still might have a chance.

Hey I was wondering if anyone was actually put on the waitlist or if their applications are just "on hold" (like mine). Is there a difference between the waitlist and on hold at SUNY at this point?
I am thinking about calling the school to find out if the status of my application has changed, but since its possible that they've changed the status to "declined" I'm not sure I want to call just yet, ha. I've been accepted at a few other schools but SUNY is my top choice so I'm getting anxious... My guess is that I will just have to be patient :). Let me know if you guys know anything!

3.15 overall/pre-req and 340AA, 350TS OATs.
My GPA was low due to my freshman year- after sophomore year I had atleast a 3.5 each semester... so I'm not sure if the schools took into consideration the overall improvement in my GPA or not... they say they do :).
Either way, apply early, get some experience in optometry and study hard for the OATS! Good luck!

Mine is on hold too. Seems like SUNY is taking a long time. They said that they want to finish all the interviews first and then sort through the pile. On Hold is just a big ?. It's not waitlisted, rejected, or accept. It's just nothing.

i contacted suny this week. they told me they'll take decision only after all interviews are over. I think there is no waiting list for suny.They keep potential students in hold. i"m sorry i mentioned "waiting list" instead of "hold" in my first mail.
