So i woke up this morning, one eye had lots of mucous discharge and is very red and itchy. A friend of mine had a bacterial infection in one of her eyes so I'm worried I caught it from her. I have Zymar..is it ok for me to start using it or should I wait to see someone from my school. Are there any reasons I should not use zymar (anything that it could be that zymar would only make worse). Thanks and please reply ASAP!

as noted earlier, not good to give medical info via internet. go see Dr. Newman or Dr. Drescher at SCO. by your symptoms, it sounds more allergic (itching, mucous) than bacterial.

As stated above, much better to go see a doc. It's darn near impossible to tell what exactly is wrong with you without seeing you. (you know that) ;)
