I was wondering if the board review (specifically Part 1) sessions at Optometry's meeting were found to be helpful. I am not planning on going to Las Vegas unless these review sessions are great to go to!! Thanks!!

I am not planning on going to Las Vegas unless these review sessions are great to go to!! Thanks!! I never went but used traditional study materials and did awesome on part 1. Its a very demanding test to study for because of the vast variety of information it tests over. Part II is so much easier. Good luck this summer if that's when you're scheduled to take it. file014 04-01-2006, 10:03 PM Six hours of condensed lecture are not going to make Vegas worth your while. I've seen most of the part I sessions twice and its the same every year. Good lecturers, but same lecture yearly. Remington does the ocular bio/anatomy one, just read her book. I forget who does the others. Printouts of the lectures are out there, just ask upperclassmen at your school. Good luck on pt I. Ive got the PAM in less than 36 hours :) See you in VEGAS!!! cpw 04-03-2006, 02:55 PM I never went but used traditional study materials and did awesome on part 1. I studied only from the Berkely guide and Schwartz's visual perception. (plus a bank of old example questions a classmate gave me on CD -- which sadly I don't have anymore or I'd share with y'all. ). And for the record I did very well on Part 1. (for what it's worth) Anything higher than a Pass is kind of a waste unless you want to practice in Nevada ;) PCO2010_OD 04-13-2006, 07:19 PM I never went but used traditional study materials and did awesome on part 1.
