There's a new type of dressing that just got shiped to our hospital, you can check it out at www.kendallamd.com. Its supposed to be really innovative and I was just wondering if anyone here had any more info on it for me. I'd love to hear your input!

Interesting. I don't know what to say about it, but I do know that we use several products from kendall at our ambulance squad.

In browsing the site, I see very little to justify the added cost of these antimictobial dressings. All of the studies put forth seem to utilize animal models only.
In principal, it may not be the smartest move to utilize antimicrobials as a blanket policy in all wound dressings, since this kind of injudicious use of antibiotics is what is largely responsible for antimicrobial resistance in the first place. There may be a place for these dressings in selected cases, however the site does not clearly spell out what those cases may be.
